Tokyo: Day 10

Nothing much really happened today so no pictures. We slept in, did laundry and then went to Akihabara so that I could finish my shopping. We did, however, have an awesome dinner adventure.

Erin and I wandered around for a bit looking for a place to eat. Well actually we wandered around for about an hour. Finally we stumbled upon a kaiten zushi (sushi go round). I was in the mood for sushi so we went in and tried it. This place was waaaaay better than then first kaiten zushi we went to. The sushi was so good and the place was a little bigger and roomier. Actually, that sushi was the best I have had to date; it was all so flavorful and wonderful. We also tried some of the more expensive stuff, which tasted incredible. A little while after we had been there the owner/main chef came in and gave us some free dried squid. That stuff was super tasty. He also talked to us for a bit and seemed really happy to have us there. It was all in all a great experience. It was also our most expensive dinner because we ate about $40 worth of sushi. It was so worth it though.

After sushi Erin felt bad that I had spent so much money on dinner, so she wanted to go to a fancy restaurant with cool desserts to make it up to me. We finally found one that had suitable desserts. It was an interesting place to be in because it was filled with what I guess was a company dinner party and a bunch of drunk Japanese business men and their wives. We ordered our desserts and cocktails (mine was really good but I don’t remember what it was called maybe a cassus… I am not sure) and when they arrived the semi drunk Japanese people got all excited about our desserts and tried to talk to us. They were fun. The desserts were just as good as we wanted them to be and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. We both got a fruit parfait, by the way.

After the restaurant we decided to go to the Hostel’s bar since we had a free drink and there was a contest going on there. It was packed with different people from all over the world and was kind of fun because of that fact. We found out that the contest wasn’t starting until later so we just hung out and had a few drinks. We both had some sake and then got screwdrivers. By then we had been there a couple of hours and it was late. We decided to go back to the hostel and then went to bed when we got there.

All in all it was an uneventful and a fun night. That sushi place was incredible.

Ah man, I always leave out some stuff.

Or next time you're in Akihabara, can you look for a real cool shop and find a cool cellphone keychain? Thanks mang.

I hope you're having a blast, and learn to use those chopsticks! >:U
